Saona Island is part of Cotubanama National Park. This experience combines a transfer to Bayahibe, catamaran and speedboat journeys, a natural-pool stop and beach time with lunch. You travel with other guests, accompanied by a guide and crew.

The order of the catamaran and speedboat journeys may change according to daily operations. Enjoy the sea breeze, coastal views and Caribbean atmosphere. Follow safety instructions and wear your life jacket whenever the crew requires it.

Abanico Beach and free time

Abanico Beach is one of the beach areas used on traditional Saona excursions. White sand, palm trees and turquoise water provide a setting for swimming, walking along the shore, taking photos or relaxing.

The specific beach and landing point may change with sea conditions or logistics. Your guide explains where lunch is served, how much free time you have and where to meet for departure. Tell your guide before leaving the group.

The natural pool and starfish

The natural-pool stop offers time in shallow water near Saona. Allow roughly 25–45 minutes as a guide, depending on daily operations and conditions. The captain may adjust or skip the stop if entering the water is unsafe.

Starfish may be present, but sightings are not guaranteed. Observe them in their habitat: do not touch, lift or remove them from the water. Do not collect shells, coral or sand, and take your litter with you.

Buffet lunch and drinks

Lunch is a Dominican-style buffet. Dishes may include grilled chicken or pork, rice, pasta and tropical fruit; the actual menu depends on availability. Tell us about allergies or dietary needs before booking, as special diets require confirmation.

Included drinks are served during operator service hours: water, soft drinks and local rum. Open bar refers to the included local selection, not every drink sold on the beach. Alcohol is served only to adults and may be restricted for safety.

Your fare covers the services listed under “Included” for your selected option. Bring cash for optional extras and agree on the price with the seller before ordering. Tips are voluntary.

Pickup, timing and return

Pickup and return are arranged at your confirmed hotel or meeting point within the area covered by your booking. Provide the exact accommodation name and a contact number. Apartments or properties with limited access may require a nearby meeting point.

Pickup times differ between hotels. The itinerary is approximate: traffic, other pickups, boarding and sea conditions can affect it. The advertised activity duration may differ from the total time away from your hotel.

Confirm your return window before planning dinner, a transfer or a flight. Departures from Bayahibe, Punta Cana and Santo Domingo involve different ground-transfer times; follow your booking confirmation.

What to bring and how to prepare

Wear your swimsuit under lightweight clothes and protect your phone, camera and documents from water. Tell us in advance if you need boarding assistance or have a condition that could be affected by a bumpy boat ride.
