My stay was not as enjoyable as I had imagined it was going to be.
What they liked
I liked the location, and I liked the welcoming from the staff. The setting of the hotel is very pleasant because it is very quiet. I liked the privacy of the room I was allocated, it was not noisy and it was on the fringe of the main building. What could improve
I felt the room I was in felt very 'tired' and dated, and needed some refreshing.
Some of the lights in the room didn't work at all and some flickered when they were on.
There was a musty 'old persons' smell in the wardrobe and in the drawer units which was rather off putting - it meant I didn't wish to leave me belongings in those spaces.
In the dining area there was a system - it required guests to stand at the entry point and 'wait to be seated'. I couldn't quite understand the intention or rationale for this to be necessary. It would have felt more welcoming to have been able to freely choose a table to sit at. It was almost as if by waiting to be ''given a place to sit' was in contrast to the idea that guests were choosing the hotel, but not invited to be able to choose where they sat at meal times. 🤔🤔🤔Source: Nuitee
